Our Secret Lives
Our lives are a constructed image that we project outward.
We want everyone to have the impression that our lives are perfect. Everyone pretends that they are living the perfect life, perfectly happy in every aspect. This has been amplified by the presence of social media as we now have the opportunity to “advertise” how happy we are and how perfect our lives are.
We are so caught up in giving the perception that we lead perfect lives, we sometimes forget that no one can actually live a perfect life. Life itself is a mixture of the good moments and the bad. If there were no bad
moments, we would never have space to learn and grow.
Since we all “construct” the perfect image of what our lives should look like, we are all the artists of our own constructed image that we show to those around us.
The truth is, no one is living a perfect life.
